Discussion Guidelines

  • Please use spoiler tags for major events in the current chapter(s) and any content in future chapters.
  • When asking for help, do your best to provide context. Pasted text, screenshots, descriptions, etc. Unlike book clubs we can’t flip to relevant pages, so we may need a little help identifying exactly what is being discussed.
  • Feel totally at ease to ask questions or give your thoughts, any time! Clubs live and die by participation, and asking whatever question you have, no matter how silly it may seem, helps others who are reading it and even the answerer themselves.
  • Have fun, and do your best to interpret anything said with as much good faith as possible :slightly_smiling_face:

This week has just a few locations and long scenes. I suggest the 8 590 ch. mark as a rest point if you need a break because the next scene goes for ~11k characters and IMO is worth reading in one sitting. As always I didn’t record every single transitioning scene if it’s from the same location, so there might be other potential rest points in between, but overall it’s all linked together.

I haven't read the whole chapter yet, but I feel like I've learned a very important thing from Noa this week

I will from now on be using chopsticks for potato chips while gaming.

I did just that! Appreciate all your hard work running this.

Had a nice week once again! More silly character moments, so I imagine this’ll go over well with people. Got a couple really good, cute CGs with Noa. I feel a little light on things to say; it’s developing nicely but sorta traditionally enough – Noa opens up more, starts working through her struggles, etc. Standard, but executed pretty well.

The one point sticking in my mind is the bit Takamine said about Yoichi, how he’s just kinda this way from birth and oh well, no one can understand. I’ll wait and see how that develops because it remains just Takamine’s view and who knows if the VN intends to regard it as accurate or not, but if it is, can’t say I’m a fan. Not even in the “bad character writing” way as much as something closer to “I’m not sure I like the sort of view this VN is more broadly taking of people.” But I gotta let it all play out before taking any positions on themes or anything. Just something that stood out a lot to me.

Pretty fun week seeing more of Noa’s … less serious side.

Some parts felt a bit silly but overall pretty fun. I liked that Noa got angry when クソ兄貴 thought about the whole inherit-someone-else’s-artifact - it showed a nice balance between her trying to expose her weak side but being serious about it at the same time.

The part that didn’t quite make much sense to me was the whole business with “killing” the teleport user. The VN tries to make a big deal of it, but it’s hard to empathize considering that even when クソ兄貴 hits him, his arms just goes through the guy - like there’s not even some sort of physical sense that he actually hit someone, much less kill him. There’s no corpse. No nothing. Would it really feel like such a psychological burden, adding that the guy was going to die anyway?

Another fun week. I liked the scenes with Noa being silly. Her personality is really starting to develop and I’m liking her a lot more every week. I don’t feel like there is too much to say this week but I am happy the game has mostly been character focused so far instead of fights. I’ve been enjoying this episode so far!

Yeah that part didn’t make too much sense to me either. He was going to die anyways so it seemed like he really did put the dude out of his misery there. Was also kind of a lame “trick” for Iris to appear when Kakeru called for Sophie and then Sophie only showed up right after they killed the user.
