Malinkal’s Results
I figured I probably wouldn’t be able to get any more done after waking up and before work, and I was right, so tired. I only had 1 day off on Monday, so coming off of 5 late shifts in a row, into readathon, back into early shift today I couldn’t sacrifice sleep and humanity. If I’d had 2 days off, I could have done all the housework etc. on the other day, and stayed up later, but still probably 10 or 11 hours is my absolute limit I think. No idea how @GolyBidoof et al. manage 14 hours!
This is by far the most novel pages I’ve read in a day, comfortably more than a book and a half. I’ve probably read more than this in a day in English, but not that much more. No idea how many characters it ended up being, but probably a record for that too, even if it wasn’t the most text-dense stuff. I have a feeling next readathon will be back to VNs or some other medium, so probably unlikely I’ll break the pages record any time soon.
Thank you to @soggyboy for doing such a great job hosting, and @taiyousea for setting the whole tradition up in the first place. I hope everyone enjoyed participating, I definitely enjoyed seeing everyone else’s posts, it helped me through a long weekend of work. For anyone who’s a first time participant, please come back next time!
