Received my copy today! Yea
The friend of a friend couldn’t fin the book in Japan. I’ll have to buy it elsewhere…
my copy won’t arrive till beginning of August, I just have it packaged with some preorders so I save on shipping.
This seems to be the correct book. Is it?
yes, it is
Yes, it’s the one I got.
I ordered it. Expected delivery date: Aug. 9, 2019 - Aug. 26, 2019. I’m hoping for the front end of the window
I like this option since it is a collection of short stories. If you are a slow reader like me, and start to fall behind, just skip a story or two and be back on track! ![]()
I have checked, and Chi should finish in 2-3 weeks.
Should we translate the preface as training? ![]()
Coincidentally, my copy of this should be arriving in 2-3 weeks…
I’m not sure if I’m quite at the level for reading yet or not, but I bought the book and I’m going to try it.
Definitely read along, even if you can only read the kanas and not even make out the grammar. We’ll all be breaking it down as well as having a master vocab spreadsheet is neat. It really gives a better grasp of how grammar is supposed to be handled and all that pazaz. There might also be some phrases or words you would randomly just remember to heart because you enjoyed the scene play out so yeah, definitely a good supplement to learning.
Are we planning to do sentence by sentence translations?
Good question. How did you handled that in the former book clubs? ![]()
In the “naze” one, we translated everyday a page. And then discussed about it
Same but I keep putting off trying so I just decided to do it this time - good luck! ![]()
I started the なぜ book at level 5, and it was hard at the beginning, but by the end of it I improved so much.
I think the consistency of 1 page a day is what help me the most ![]()
That’s good to know
Glad I decided to try, finally!
