Hello,

can you please explain the meaning of 遣う, and why it was translated to “to consider”?

I do not find a synonym of “to consider” in the listed meanings here:

or is “to put to use” a synonym of “to consider”?
The WK sentence example does not help to clarify.

I think it mostly means consider in the 気を遣う sense. Meaning 5 here:
