Grandma rage.
If you have the Yomitan addon for your browser, the Kirei Cake dictionary can help with slang when you’re not finding anything else.
Note: I would not use it as my primary dictionary, but it’s been very helpful as a beginner when I don’t know the contractions very well. Or even regular expressions enough to know when they’re being altered in a casual way.
Yup, I knew what was coming after the first panel, no Japanese required
Re: pointing
Whether pointing is rude or not depends a lot on culture and generational gaps, I think!
I used to usher for school productions and they taught us to gesture in different directions with an open hand, 4 fingers together and thumb tucked over the palm. They called it ‘happy paws,’ haha. Because pointing at different entrances and exits was too rude.
On pointing: The instant finger slap doesn’t seem much more than usual manga level of reaction to how some real people would definitely react. Certainly remember my great-grandmother having very strong opinions against pointing when I was kid. (She was born in the 1890s though)
