I’m running my own 7 day speaking challenge from Thursday 14th August to Wednesday 20th August (I’m doing 7 short read & talk lessons over 7 days) and was wondering if anyone else would like to join me on this short output challenge - I’m proposing a two week period starting Monday 11th August and finishing Sunday 24th August in which to complete the challenge and people could do writing/speaking/shadowing/handwriting or something similar.
I’m in! I have been wanting to start writing essays in Japanese but I’m procrastinating. This would be good motivation to get started. I’ll create a local document to work on every day of the challenge and post the essays as they are completed. 5 essays seems like a solid goal, 2-3 days to work on each one.
Do you know about the sites 1) LangCorrect https://langcorrect.com/ &
2) Nyan 8 https://nyan-8.com/? They are both sites where you can post your essays and get them corrected by native speakers.
I’ll be starting my challenge on Friday 15th & finishing Friday 22nd (with a day off Thursday 21st)
Hoping to do a short 「読んで話そう」lesson (almost) every day for 7 days.
Never looked into writing anything and having it corrected by natives, so I’m really interested in the websites suggested above.
I might just do that, join this challenge and write a short story or something
An update for today: wrote the first paragraph of my essay. I plan to have the first one done by Wednesday. I’ll give another update and a link to the Langcorrect post when it is completed.
Yesterday with the challenge starting, I’m vacation in Japan right now So I’ve been having lotsss of opportunities to speak!! Making lots of new friends, I’m so happy.
Going forward I’ll try to post here a little in Japanese and add to the output
Hey everyone, quick message to wish you the best of luck for those starting now! Thanks @Lisaveeta for initiating the challenge.
I have now arrived in Chile and have 826 reviews to complete (so scared…). Sorry I haven’t been very active lately and will be sure to make a comeback once I am not in pain in bed anymore..
For me the challenge will consist of chatting with my Japanese colleague and writing some short themed paragraphs!
