Details of CW

It’s a dream, no blood like last time, but the person is “alive” as they fall apart.

There’s a section where you’re following an NPC, this week’s stopping point once you’re no longer following them. Before you go through the huge door.

Discussion Guidelines

Everybody should feel free to post and ask questions–it’s what makes book clubs fun! But please do not post until you are familiar with Spoiler Courtesy!

Spoiler Courtesy

Please follow these rules to avoid inadvertent ネタバレ. If you’re unsure whether something should have a spoiler tag, err on the side of using one.

  1. Any potential spoiler for the current week’s reading need only be covered by a spoiler tag. Predictions and conjecture made by somebody who has not read ahead still falls into this category.
  2. Any potential spoilers for external sources need to be covered by a spoiler tag and include a label (outside of the spoiler tag) of what might be spoiled. These include but are not limited to: other book club picks, other books, games, movies, anime, etc. I recommend also tagging the severity of the spoiler (for example, I may still look at minor spoilers for something that I don’t intend to read soon).
  3. Any information from later in the book than the current week’s reading (including trigger warnings that haven’t yet manifested) needs to be hidden by spoiler tags and labeled as coming from later sections.
Instructions for Spoiler Tags

Click the cog above the text box and use either the “Hide Details” or “Blur Spoiler” options. The text which says “This text will be hidden” should be replaced with what you are wishing to write. In the case of “Hide Details”, the section in the brackets that is labelled “Summary” can be replaced with whatever you like also (i.e, [details=”Chapter 1, Pg. 1”]).

Hide Details results in the dropdown box like below:

Example

This is an example of the “Hide Details” option.

The “Blur Spoiler” option will simply blur the text it surrounds.

Posting Advice
  • When asking for help, please mention the page number, and check before posting that your question hasn’t already been asked. As the threads get longer, it becomes more convenient to use the Search function, which is located in the upper right corner of the forum. It is the magnifying glass which is near your profile picture! The best way to search is usually to type part of the sentence you are confused about, and select “in this topic”. This will show you all posts within the current thread which has that string of text.

  • Be sure to join the conversation! It’s fun, and it’s what keeps these book clubs lively! There’s no such thing as a stupid question! We are all learning here, and if the question has crossed your mind, there’s a very good chance it has crossed somebody else’s also! Asking and answering questions is a great learning opportunity for everyone involved, so never hesitate to do so!

If necessary, include an explanation of any discrepancies in the Ebook page numbers from physical page numbers. If there is an easy shortcut for some ebook versions to relate back to physical page numbers, it would be worth it to include it as a third bullet here, or if you want to use chapter page numbers instead of volume page numbers, as is the case with some manga. For example:
Example

For the Kindle version of this manga, the page numbers and the location number are always 3 apart. If you subtract 3 from the location, this will give you the accurate page number!

OR

Please use the chapter page numbers, instead of the volume page numbers. These are located in between the panels!

Celine and Julie Go Boating

Title is a little overly specific but it’s a boat movie! Very interesting, odd film.

The song in this place is really good! Play music good enough and I’ll probably forgive lots of things. Not that I really need to right now cause this dungeon is good too! Fun enough layout to explore I think, and the card keys are an enjoyable little dungeon gimmick. I think I ran back and found everything? Was a little disappointed the blue card key ones were just sepith because they required the biggest trips back into the dark room or the very starting room that I thought I’d get a more unique reward for flagging that stuff in my mind to return to and taking the time. But yeah, lots of treasure in here, good stuff.

The portrait for robo-Joshua is really cool too. Fun fight! All of them this week were pretty decent. We were having a really nice time beating on the robot boyfriends until the last one alive pulled out the S-craft and 1 shot two people – luckily the other two still had a charge of Kevin’s invincibility S-craft buff left. So that was a fun, dramatic way for that to go. This week is the most fun I’ve had with this game in quite a while, easily.

And it seems to be building to something big in the plot finally. I just really need the game to not pull away from telling us things / having something significant happen here in this next week. I’m a little afraid of vague handwaving then kicking Estelle out of here. Fingers crossed, I’m locked in and locking forward to next week…

Week 32

The dungeon was fun! The new jazzy music, one-by-one battles with Bracer B team, and gradually learning a little about whatever new stuff is being developed at the lab were all great. I kind of struggled to connect the dots there. They’re using the FC final boss to do new and exciting robotics? Something like that? The keycard stuff was also nice, though I do agree that the blue keycard opening up only sepith chest rooms was slightly disappointing. I went all the way back to the first room for earth sepith x200 ayy.

I groaned when I found the goggles knowing what was coming up, but at least there weren’t enemies jumping out from blind spots in the dark room. Otherwise, I’ve saved at this weeks stopping point and now that I’m writing I realize I’ve left them equipped. I knew this would happen, damn goggles

Joshua on the floor turns out to be a robot, they got me. I thought he’d just be brainwashed like everybody else. Their S-crafts really hurt, too. Still OP even when used by robo-boyfriends

There’s a trigger warning for the dismemberment that happens in Estelle’s dream but the way it happens, with parts falling off and making squishy noise when they hit the ground… is it terrible that I laughed?

Confrontation with Joshua finally happening? I got the sense he jumped onto that little ship at the start of the chapter so it would take him to the 教授, and now Estelle’s with him :eyes:

Finishing up the chapter (week runs a little longer than usual)

Robot enemies that are not weak to lightning? Is this amateur hour?

I hope this text isn’t too important because my eyes are bleeding.

I liked it. The dungeon felt very “video-gamey” with the keycards and the series of bosses but I thought it was fun. I thought it was amusing that the game would ask me which card to use every time. “Oh boy, green lock, uh, let me see, mmh, how about, mmh, red card?” The memory control/memory wipe thing is a bit overused but at least now we have Kevin and his Jesus powers to counterbalance it.

I’m mildly hopeful that we’ll finally get answers about the great plan of the bad guys soon but I won’t get my hopes too high, I’ve been burned before.

I don’t really have much else to say, it’s a lot easier to write a wall of text when I’m complaining about something, but this was very fine.

Oh I took a long break before I got the blue key and forgot about this door, good that I didn’t miss anything of value!
