漢字 with the most Morae / Kanas

Hey there,

Just wondering a simple question, since I learned about 予め (level 11) with 予 being pronounced あらかじ (which I think is the most numerous hiragana for a single kanji I’ve encountered), I wondered what is the kanji with the most Morae / Kanas ?

I can’t think of any off the top of my head. Could this be what you’re looking for?

At level 32, 志(intention) is pronounced こころざし. It’s the most I’ve ever seen.

There’s another one that comes to mind, 承る (うけたまわる), level 34. It does have another form (受け賜る) though, and I’d assume that some, if not most, “long” readings are just combined words, so to speak

Now that you mention it, these two come to mind

潔い (いさぎよい)
著しい (いちじるしい)

Thanks, yes I’m talking single kanji reading, so 5 seems to be the most? No “anticonstitutionnellement”. Well I guess it’s kinda compound as in anti-constitution-nelle-ment

Actually this article answers it perfectly, 14ish is the maximum
