What’s the name of Chitanda-san’s oji-san? I forgot the reading…

Edit: Sekitani Jun! 関谷純

Not to be mixed with his name in the live action movie

@Sylph Could you add his name in the proper noun list in the home thread? :slightly_smiling_face:

Ah, I was gonna bring that up when we got this far.

I mean like, whyyy? I read a review of this movie that someone posted saying “ugh, the director’s so stupid - the tone accent on ‘Fukube’ is ‘FUkube’ not ‘fuKUbe’” or whatever, and all I could think of was “you’re gonna pick on the speck in Fukube’s eye while ignoring the plank in Sekitani’s eye?”

Done! (please check I got it right)

I just finished this before uploading the new week and I have to say it looks like it finally got interesting. Just hoping it continues like that and doesn’t do a ハルヒ and continue with something random and not relevant to the main mystery (I’m assuming that’s what this is).

That’s of course very subjective, but for me it felt consistent after it finally became interesting. ^^

Does anyone actually know what the saying means?

名言

狡兎死して走狗煮らる。
When the enemy is defeated, the victorious soldiers can be killed off/ when the numble rabbit dies, the hunting dog is cooked.

I kind of get it but not really. In other words, I just don’t get it.

I guess “when you’ve accomplished your goal, you can throw away the tools that helped you get it”.
