There’s seventeen Kinokuniya branches in the US, you’re not near any of those?
Nope, not even a little.
The locations are basically New York City, major west coast city, or Texas for some reason. I think that accounts for all but a few of the locations. And I get New York and the west coast (since there are larger Japanese populations there), but why are there four locations in Texas of all places?! It’s so strange!
I wonder if it’s related to the reason half the anime dubbing industry is texas-based (Crunchy, Sentai etc are based out of there for some reason or the other). Four is a bit excessive though.
Ah, phew! Cdjapan is listing it now. It’s on its way!
Oh I just spotted this thread, I didn’t know volume 3 was out! I’ll get it on Bookwalker though, I won’t bother looking for a physical copy. The scans of the first 2 volumes were really good too (for a change) so it doesn’t bother me.
So, about volume three…
I’m a bit less swamped on bookclubs right now (only 15 lol), so I’m up to start volume 3 whenever!
I’m not sure I’m planning to read along but happy to put up a thread. When would people like to start?
- 19 April
- 26 April
- 3 May
- Later…
Golden week starts 29 April and I’m guessing this might be available with a coin back offer on Book Walker at that point.
Assuming the same reading pace as before?
- Yes fine
- No (see comment)
Ok so a clear vote to start this weekend! I’ll get a thread up.
And as if perfectly timed volume 3 is now part of a promotion on Book Walker at 60% coin back - no minimum spend required so you can buy it for 1250 yen outside Japan and get 750 yen back in coins.
EDIT: Volume 3 thread is up:
