No worries at all! I know that feeling all too well 
I finally finished. So, this certainly was…a story. I had to take a 3 week long break from it last month because of travel, and afterwards I needed a whole week to get back into my reading habit, so I only just finished yesterday. Probably not the best way to read it tbh. Maybe I would have gotten more meaning out of it if I’d been able to remember more about the beginning by the time I reached the end.

Yeah, me too. I really prefer to go into a story completely unspoilered, because any kind of knowledge colors my perception of the story. I’m not even sure if the fact that in the end, the blurb turned out to be misleading made it better or worse. For the first three quarters of the story, I kept wondering when the poisoned grapefruit jam would make an appearance and for the last quarter, I kept wondering if I should be disappointed or relieved about the lack of actual poison.
So annoying, right? I hope you’ll have the chance to continue on and enjoy the other stories, since they’re spoiler-free
