Mine is I want to say yes but I need to decide whether I’d rather continue this or read the next pick because if I say yes to everything and read the new ones, I’ll have too many book clubs again.
Week 8:
Since the sale is going to end later today, I bit the bullet and bought the whole thing. Does anyone know if the series is finished in 5 volumes or is there going to be more?
AniList says the series ended on Nov 15, 2023 with five volumes.
Nice. Always good to see something with a resolution.
I missed the poll but will read an offshoot. I’d prefer a break prior as have a few series on the go.
Oops, for some reason it looks like my vote wasn’t counted, but I had voted “yes”!
Normally six people wouldn’t be enough, but since the people that voted yes are some of the most talkative in the weekly threads, I’m okay with continuing to host. We’ll take a short break and start volume 2 on September 13. This will give everyone some time to focus on other clubs, but not wait too long that we lose interest.
The series does end at volume five, with a conclusive ending.
I’m considering dropping the weekly schedule, and having the thread for each volume open for any question/topic at any time. I know everyone has a lot of other clubs, so I think removing the weekly expectation would take some pressure off.
If anyone uses JP Amazon to buy manga they are having a kindle manga campaign where you can get extra points for buying more manga. The other 4 books in the series are part of the campaign, so I got them! Yay! (It ends in 6 days)
I’ve started offshoot clubs with 2 of us and a “maybe”. It’s still running!
Edit: just noted the comment about dropping the weekly schedule. Some clubs run without a schedule but I reckon they seem to have readers drop out more. I usually make one thread and post weekly, but I’ve noted others make the schedule but don’t always make formal weekly posts.
For me, schedules keep me accountable!
I feel the same way!
Also, as one of the chatty people in the threads, I like reading on a schedule because then I feel like we’re all reading and talking about something at the same time. So I feel like socially it’s nicer on a schedule, too!
Our final week is here:
Thank you to everyone that read along ![]()
I appreciate the support for a weekly schedule. If anyone else has anything to say, now is the time to speak up, as everything is subject to change up until September 13, and I want to do everything I can to accommodate you all.
I’d like to change my maybe to a yes because I bought the rest of the series ![]()
And I’m also a fan of weekly schedules ![]()
I completely missed the poll (I’m still having trouble navigating this site), but I’d love to read more volumes of this series.
If you want to get notified anytime a thread is updated, you can press the bell at the bottom of the thread and set it to watching:
Thread for volume 2 is up, we start reading on Saturday:
We’re on the last chapter of volume 2, do we want a break after we finish?
- No, no break
- Yes, a short break (1-2 weeks)
- Yes, a longer break (3-4 weeks)
I voted for the longest possible break, because I’ll be travelling for the next 5 weeks, and won’t be able to join in. But feel free to go on without me, I’ll catch up sooner or later.
To be honest I voted no break but am currently behind and behind on most other clubs, so it was probably a poor choice.
I voted for a short break, but I’m happy with anything really ![]()
I’ve been quiet in the threads because I’ve been insanely busy recently, but I’m really enjoying the art in this manga. It’s so pretty. ![]()
