Really cool scene, and we learned a bit more about the political factions. Is Randall (the country that invented instant chocolate powder) the same country that’s experimenting with healing magic?
Also, the 後ろに moment really cracked me up

Apart from that, not much to comment on. Cute moment with the letters from Lana.
I also wondered if her reaction to the romance novel Monica read at the beginning of this chapter somehow foreshadows her future love life, but couldn’t dwell on it too much, because at this point, I just want to keep reading.
「……なんで、こんな風に、誰かに夢中になれるんだろう」
Now I wonder if she’ll fall in love before this series is over.
(Prediction: She probably won’t, but she’ll learn to expect more from people.)
I guess I wasn’t the only one thinking of that!
「おぅ、勿論。ちなみに、オレ様の好みは尻尾がセクシーな雌だな」
「……尻尾」
「オレ様、尻尾の無い雌には欲情できねーから、お前は論外だ。安心しろ」
尻尾の無いモニカには理解できない世界である。
Side note: I love the tendency of this author to sometimes use these “weird description based on the previous sentence + character name” combinations.
もしかしたら、モニカには尻尾がついていないみたいに、恋心なんていうものも初めから備わっていないのかもしれない。
その結論に満足し、モニカはパンを口に放り込む。
恋だの愛だのが分からない以前の問題なのだ。臆病なモニカは、誰にも何も望めない。期待できない。
「す、すみません……あの……リンさん、いつから、ここに……」
「三日ほど前から」
昔、魔術師養成機関ミネルヴァに通っていた頃、自室に悪口を書いた紙が放り込まれていたことを思い出したのだ。
Aw, so she was bullied back then too?
それと「早く良くなりなさいよ」「ご飯ちゃんと食べてるの？」という一言も。
名前は書いていないけれど、モニカはその筆跡を知っている。

モニカは手紙を一枚一枚大事に読み直すと、鍵付きの引き出しを開ける。
大事な物を入れる鍵付きの引き出しの中には、父の形見のコーヒーポットがあるだけだ。
モニカはそこにラナから貰った手紙を入れて、引き出しに鍵をかけた。
Aw!
この予算案も、各クラブ長達が提出した書類をシリルの方で目を通し、問題がある物は返却している。みっちりしごくとは何だったのだろう、と言いたいぐらい、手厚い対応である
He’s such a tsundere. I really like that he worries and cares for her.

「普段からろくな物を口にしていないから、そういうことになるんだ。貴様はもっと舌を肥やすべきだ。この間のように、殿下のお手を煩わせるわけにはいかんからな」
「は、はい……すみません……」
「つまりこれは殿下のためだ。分かったな！」
