If you have a question about grammar, vocab, the story, cultural things or anything else related to the book — ask! There’s no need to be shy. If it’s something you are wondering about, chances are someone else will be thankful you asked first, lots of people enjoy answering questions, you learn something new, and the thread gets more lively. It’s a win-win on all fronts!
Another sweet chapter, I liked how everything came together in the end with the flute also lending courage to the proposal!
One thing I like about this manga is that all the ‘pretty girl’ outfits kind of look like something I would have drawn myself when I was 11 or whatever
To expand what I’ve said before - I’m not commenting a huge amount, but I find this series really inventive, but also sweet. I like that this chapter filled in both backstories, even just a tiny bit.
It was touching that Saimon protected Nicola, I wasn’t expecting any of the characters to really get hurt in this manga so I was a bit surprised. I read a later chapter with the Bruno character when I found this manga in the Harta magazine, so I’ve met him before, but had completely forgotten about him so it was fun to see his origin story as the ポペ 剣士。I like how this manga often has themes of characters being different from stereotypes.
Chapter 10:
Yay, a little backstory! It was cute how Saimon was adopted. His dad was a good guy, now we know why Saimon is so good-hearted despite posturing otherwise.
Very cool chapter. Loved the concept of the ズモモ族 and their random interactions where Nicola “translates” their noises to words (mostly randomly just by context ) was pretty fun.
Interesting to see that we finally get some information on Nicola’s backstory. Was expecting this to go more on the slice-of-life style, but I am looking forward to see how this develops.
