I think you may just want to doublecheck your kanji spotting there with the original text. 
Considering what they’re eating, I don’t think a 鳥 would be the character that comes to mind for a terrestrial comparison…

Oops accidentaly read chapter 19 instead of chapter 18… So now I am both behind and ahead of the club 
was also a bit confused with how the chapter started but thought that was just me as usual forgetting things from week to week…

Chapter 19
Enjoyed this chapter, fun to see a character that was previously in the party! (I didn’t remember her, went back to chapter 1 to check again) (got a bit of a shock when she died right after meeting her, but fortunately, dying in Dungeon and Dragons is not that dramatic after all)
Alright, now on to read chapter 18 to see what the h has happenned to Marcelle
