I finished this today. Overall I enjoyed the series, and it’s kind of the first case of experiencing a series I wanted to see anyway, even discounting language learning, and hadn’t seen yet through Japanese. Coincidentally, my anime with friends group has been watching this series as well recently, so I’ve also been watching the English dub a few episodes behind the Japanese dub too (that group is now on episode 18).

It’s clear there’s things I’ve missed from the Japanese dub from that, but overall I still got plenty out of it, so that’s good, and probably a sign that I might watch some of the upcoming seasonal anime in Japanese if I feel interested in the premise.

Spoilers for this week

Lots of seeing things from each others shows, though I’m not sure Laios’ voice changed at all really even though Senshi and チルチャック definitely did. Marcielle’s was more subtle, but I think it changed a little too.

I mean, of course there was going to be some way they were going to end up eating the dragon again, given how this anime has gone, lol. I wonder how everyone else, including outside the party, is feeling about Laios volunteering them for that, lol.
