Mia/Sara backstory this week. I gotta say, the origin for their names is at the same time more boring and more interesting than what I expected. I thought it would keep the theme of them being some sort of insider that was there to play with the house dynamics but it’s just a tragic sibling backstory

It turns out there were lots of folks running around with their memories intact! I was kind of disappointed in how little happened this chapter besides Mia’s backstory, but sometimes you have to have a build-up chapter.

Chapter 229
After we saw how messed up Mia was, I read Doug and Emilico trying to convince Mia and thought “there’s no way this is enough to fix her, right?”
I’m glad it wasn’t. It would have been hard to believe. The fake out where she started crying like they got through to her and then she slaps the heck out of Emilico and then spits on Doug was really well done. The art when she goes off was also really good.

Chapter 230
And there’s the cliffhanger. Grandfather’s quirk is very interesting. Back before we knew more about Joseph, I thought Grandfather was either him or his puppet, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I wonder if Ryan and the other 3rd floor shadows also know about it, or if he just made use of it by chance. I also noticed Ryan doesn’t use keigo to speak to him, which seemed kind of weird.
The kids seem to be winning, although I’m not sure if that’s because Joseph told the adults not to kill. The kids do seem to be killing the adults, or at least I saw one adult that seemed to have a crossbow bolt in his chest. I wonder if Anthony has some countermeasure for the third floor shadows.
