I think that’s the basic idea, yeah. She sounds like she felt that letting her body decompose and get turned into soil gave her a sense of meaning. Not a far-fetched approach. I know some people in real life that feel the same. If you’re an atheist with no hope that something meaningful will happen to your soul after death, the thought that at least your body will be of use can add a positive note to death.
The only thing I don’t understand about her take on it is why she was afraid of cremation. Normally, you can still use the ashes as fertilizer. Or was her fear more about the block disease altering her body in a way that makes it unsuitable?

I just so happen to be in Tokyo right now and I just so happen to have spent a considerable amount of my time trying to hunt this manga down physically. Originally this meant to be a quick gag, but I feel I’ve walked enough to make it a small paragraph.

Chapter 19 totally not late reply
This chapter was sad 
Hmm, yeah, it seemed like she thought of cremation as unnatural in some way. It seemed like it was the cremation, not the crystal disease, that she disliked. I guess she was just really intent on her body returning to the earth.
Ch 21
This chapter felt comparatively hard after the last few chapters. Lots of technical vocab. I ended up Google Lensing a lot.
So, we got a first glimpse of Usa. He looks mutated in the same way as the siblings.
When Saya brought up the Great War, I realized I seem to have forgotten the general time line of this universe. When and how long was the war? There seems to have been a period of peace between the war and the eventual annihilation of the human race. Anyone remember how long it was?
Ch 22
Epic fight between two near indistructible opponents 
. Very mysterious, this new model. Why could Isami sense it? And right at the end, it looked like it speared itself again…? If that’s something it does to return to some sort of standby mode, why did choose that moment?
I read ahead of the club but now think I need to go over volume 3 in particular. Things seem a little hazy! I’m planning to join everyone when you reach volume 4.
