I managed to catch up slowly over the Easter holidays 
. To answer the earlier question - I’m also fine with the current pace of one chapter a week. Since the slowly emerging main plot moves at a glacial speed and the manga isn’t finished, I don’t think it matters much how fast we read.
Chapters 9-13
Yeah, real people! I was a little on the fence if I want to continue this series after volume 2, because so far, there’s been too little plot for my taste, but now it’s looking like things are going to get rolling. The new guys have now survived 3 whole chapters, so I’m starting to feel hopeful for them. And maybe somewhere on their way, the broadcast will lead them to a clue to complete the other part of Saya’s mission and find out where the plague came from.
Chapter 13 was so sad. Poor Ethan, all alone in the library. I really hope they’ll come back some day soon, but given this series’ track record for happy events, I’m not that confident.

I think it’s just one of the random mutations he got from being infected with block disease in the womb. Like the small protrusions on Kanoko‘s face that look somewhat like horns, they are an inconvenience to the siblings because they make them look creepy to unmutated humans, so they get ostracized like we saw in this chapter.

Ch 15
Every single page of this chapter, I expected something dreadful to happen. AI gone corrupt and tries to kill people, decades old railway tunnel damaged due to lack of maintenance and everyone drowns, food poisoning from suspicious auto-curry, train arrives at station and it’s full of corpses, the usual. Instead, everyone has a great time post-apocalypic retro sightseeing. Fluffy.

Haha, I was worried too. By the time they started pulling out the bento, I was like, oh, I think we’re safe and this is more of a chill slice of life chapter. The last chapter being so dramatic had me on guard though.

Forgot to say, with this week volume 2 ended, and we are moving to volume 3 on the 17th of may. Also with the release of volume 4 on the 15th, at least there will be something to read immediately after that.
I’ll put together a schedule sometime next week.
