This week’s chapter is most of the remainder of the anime’s third episode (the last couple of minutes come from the next chapter).

The title image for this chapter comes from Ito, by CreepHyp. For a change, it’s even the thumbnail image of the video.

And that’s pretty much it for references and connections. Uh… メリークリスマス?

Such a good chapter, some laughs, some heart strings pulled

I feel like when they showed Kita with a Bocchi-type face after screwing up really badly really solidifed the show as something that while focusing on Bocchi wasn’t just about her specifically being out of whack; everybody has their own stuff going on, which I quite enjoy.

Incidentally I’ve been rewatching the show while going through this again and it really makes me appreciate how much the show elevates the material. The 4koma is fine but I feel like all the stuff I really love comes down to the treatment in the anime from the directorial team or extra animated jokes etc

Well you guys are good at hyping the anime haha, might need to check it out! I don’t even know where to watch anime though? is there a specific website (legal of course)? netflix? crunchyroll?

The latter.

(The Ichidan Bocchi anime is also available there.)

Thanks a lot! Watched the first episode, it was nice. Can’t say that I necessarily prefer the anime over the manga, but it’s definitely easier to follow with the sound on and with seeing the different hair color of the main characters

Watching with so many ads was hard but I will try not to get tempted by the dark side

I hope ya’ll got lots of Christmas treasure, now it’s time to ろっく in! Until I say the same thing next week because of New Year’s, but by then I will have the power of resolutions on my side so… I’ll be like “for real this time!”

"You can do this wanikani community user awesome-town-rocks! If anybody here puts in the same amount of JP language learning effort like Kita did with the guitar in this chapter everything will work out, so don’t give up!

brother! you’re in such a unique situation where you can read the manga before the anime!

The anime adaptation might be better than the manga, but it it’s definitely one of the few where both versions are peak!

I believe the anime goes up to chapter 21 so maybe if we sweet talk @Belthazar, they could let you know what episodes to watch to not over take your reading

You should DEFINITELY watch the anime episodes after we finish the chapters for it

I’ve already been posting how much of the anime each chapter covers in each thread’s second post, but the end of the volume corresponds with the end of episode eight.
