I actually got that joke, so I might be getting better at this whole manga thing (yeah, right…). I thought it was pretty funny

I voted no for speeding up because the holidays have been pretty busy and I just finished setting up a new computer. But I’d like to suggest maybe in a few weeks if we do speed up, have it only apply to that particular week? That way we can still go back to the one chapter a week pace after doing a week where we’re confident

also I was wondering what could パソーン mean? In this context it sounds like something you shouldn’t be able to hear but with Japanese it be like that sometimes

It says so right there - it’s the sound of someone’s identity crumbling.
But yeah, I dunno - I’d say it’s a sound effect invented for this situation. Google comes up fairly blank. In the anime, it’s represented by a (live-action) balloon with アイデンティティ written on it, being popped with a pin and a flat sort of “flub” noise.
