I think it’s because of the もらう at the end. The もらう implies the speaker receives something from someone else.
バンド名くらい覚えて帰ってもらえるはず…
= At least (we can) receive/benefit from the audience remembering (our) band name when they leave

Although I don’t have any quotes at hand, I have heard and seen this often enough in anime and manga, even once in a podcast, that I’m quite confident in stating that: yes, comparing someone to a water flea is commonly used to paint them as weak or insignificant.

Been busy this week but this was a nice short chapter, I don’t think I had any questions because most of them were answered already. I’m going to try out this blockquote feature
Blockquote I liked when Ryo said if anybody is booing at Bocchi she would go ぽむ and whack them on the head with her bass guitar (I’m assuming that’s what that onomatopoeia means, I couldn’t find it) and then the same sound gets used when she comes up with Bocchi’s nickname but she doesn’t sugarcoat it at all
