I think I just put in “East africa” for 東アジア and got it marked right that might be a good one to check.
I think I was thinking it was “south africa”, because I started typing the reading with “minami”… and then realized I was looking at the wrong thing. Not sure how I ended up typing “east” and not “south” in that case, I guess that’s what I get for doing reviews while somewhat spaced out
I am so tired today
I did think the correct answer, of course. In fact, I even paused and formed the words properly in my head instead of letting it be a muddle of brain vibes. So I know I had this right before I started typing. And then my brain misfired and typed “d” instead of “th”… I need more sleep
I usually get prompted to add “to” when I forget it, and I didn’t this time, it just gave me the “your answer was a bit off, be sure to check it” note Not sure if that’s intentional?
Unrelated, a typo that wanikani did not accept: sometimes I do reviews while sleepy, and I’ve had this happen a couple of times where one of my fingers rested on a key and inserted a bunch of extra characters just as I was submitting it
I kinda wish duplicate characters like these could be accounted for, but I imagine it might lead to other tricky issues and be too much of an edge case to bother with. Alas… since it was a kanji, I rolled back and accepted having to redo some of my reviews.
