Yomi-chan possible with kindle?

I’ve not tested with ttsu, but with regular sites (NHK and the likes) it’s the same behaviour in Firefox: Yomitan triggers instantly on hover (haven’t tried to restrict it to tapping) and makes text selection awful difficult - it’s still possible but often needs a few attempts. Annoying…

Not related to Firefox but something’s changed in a recent Samsung OS update and it replaced Deepl with Google Translate in the initial pop-up menu for text selections, getting to Deepl requires additional taps :frowning:

I’ve not seen any in-depth sensitivity settings for the S-pen.
There’s just a single global “increase sensitivity for use with screen protectors” or some such…

I do have FF nightly but couldn’t get yomitan to run, but since I heard kiwi worked, didn’t bother messing around with trying to make FF work.

Not really interested in sorting it out but I would d/l the dictionaries and they would say install, then they would vanish. The button for persistent storage was on but didn’t make any difference. So tried again same thing, downloaded and seemed to install but then back tothe same thing, no dictionaries to look up.

Whatever I have be it FF nightly and that yomitan extension didn’t want to play nice together. But like I said, not really worried about it, kiwi is working so good enough. The tablet will honestly probably not be the first place i go to read shosetu. I still like ttsu on the desktop or the kindle.

Maybe if someone finds it works better I can install normal FF, had nightly actually for tamper monkey and scripts but since that is all migrated to kitsun and level 60 don’t really need this version. For now good enough

All good here with regular FF and Tampermonkey, WK scripts, Yomitan, Furiganize and especially… uBlock Origin

My Samsung tablet is normal Firefox. Realme smartphone is nightly (why did I even install nightly, now I don’t want to migrate). Both have TamperMonkey, but not Yomitan.

My laptop has Firefox with Yomitan.

My smartphone used to have Kiwi with Yomitan. I might have deleted it when the disk space was near full.

nightly used to be the only one that would let you install the tampermonkey extension and wk scripts (that’s why I had it)
