That one’s mostly not there because 鹸 is neither a joyo nor jinmeiyo kanji. It’s usually written as 石けん for that reason, though I suspect people would probably recognise 石鹸 if they saw it. Though even without recognition, it’s reasonably easy to guess the reading from the phonetic component (i.e. it’s the same as 倹 or 験).
Also, who said Koichi has ever heard of soap?

Definitely any adult, and probably most teenagers can read it. I’d say it’s a little surprising they didn’t try and put it on the Jinmeiyo list, since they tried to add 糞, 呪, 屍, and 癌 to it. But you know.

The vocab could be included as 石けん, then!
No biggie, I did learn it elsewhere, as will most learners. WK includes so many 石-containing vocab words for various minerals and rubble, and yet, not this everyday object.

I had never heard なるほうど (“I see”, “I understand”) until I moved to Japan.
I feel like its much more common outside of Japan to hear similar phrases like そうですね・そうですか in textbooks and such but the nuance behind なるほうど I found really useful and appropriate. Especially when my coworkers were always educating me on things I didn’t know. なるほうど felt more like I was implying I actually had an understanding and was actually listening and learning.

There’s a YouTube channel yusuke sumthin where he posts videos of natural conversation with subtitles and he says naruhodo all the time. I like the way he uses it. The Japanese are 一番 when it comes to active listening.

Although to be fair 邪魔くさい itself isn’t there but you can make a pretty good guess at the meaning. 
Would anyone recommend one place, or rather, book to do alongside WaniKani? I’m already thinking about buying Genki, but I know that won’t be enough
I’m reading 蜘蛛ですが、なにか? (So I’m a Spider, So What?).
I saw the now airing anime and really liked the premise, but not the animation. I also wanted to read something and just decided “Let’s go with this one”. It’s pretty challenging and I already have over 100 items in my anki deck that I made for unknown vocab from this book after only reading a single chapter, but it’s super fun.
