Discussion Guidelines

 • Please blur/hide any major events in the current week’s pages (however early they occur), like so:

 • (that’s
text here
).

 • If you have a question about grammar, vocab, the story, cultural things or anything else related to the book — ask! There’s no need to be shy. If it’s something you are wondering about, chances are someone else will be thankful you asked first, lots of people enjoy answering questions, you learn something new, and the thread gets more lively. It’s a win-win on all fronts!

I lost track somewhere between last week and this week about where I was supposed to stop… but this was an interesting chapter.

Thoughts

I found the email discussion with 順一おじちゃん a little harder to work through - I think I still get easily lost about who’s speaking and whether they’re referring to themselves or someone else in situations like that.

Incidentally - is that his actual name or is he the first uncle as in the oldest uncle?

And we have discovered the origins of our ghost girl! Now we can figure out what quest Akari wants to complete. Hopefully there are some fun childhood experiences coming up with Kazu.

Just to clarify I think I posted this in the wrong week. This comment relates to the whole of chap 4! I got so confused with where we were stopping somehow. Whoops.

This section was tough, but great payoff in terms of learning more about what’s going on! I like Kazu’s uncle.
