Understanding more Japanese

If I can remember correctly, they introduce adjectives very early on, then in the lesson where they introduce “real” subclauses, they do something similar to “but wait, there’s more, you can even use adjectives”. Although I might be paraphrasing a bit

I’ve only ever seen snippets of Genki, but I know Minna backwards and forwards. I wouldn’t have been able to self study using Minna, without my teacher’s grammar syllabuses explaining everything in Dutch, monolingual as it is. But I do like only seeing Japanese when I open my textbooks.

I like at least having the grammar explained in English. Giving that my vocabulary is still quite lacking, having to read a full grammar explanation in Japanese would take me ages, and I’d like to at least get basic grammar down as soon as possible. So Genki works well enough for me.

“Debunk” means to show that something is false. Not sure what you were trying to get at with that.
