The more I look at this, the more jokes I spot. And the more jokes I don’t get. 
But yeah, the top section appears to be two or three loops (roughly the part above a line drawn between “JETs” and “Diplomat Spouses”), but the bottom left and bottom right corners are two fairly separate and fairly linear chains - bottom left ends at either “Atsugiri Jason” or “Roppongi DJs”, while the bottom right ends at “Tyler Brule” or “RocketNews24 Content Curators” and occasionally “Actors” (it’s in the middle, next to “Tarento”). Those five are the only ones (that I can spot) which only have arrows going in.
There’s three which only have arrows going out: “Donald Keene”, “My cats” and “Local kabakura mamasan” (well, and also “Atsugiri Jason’s bathroom mirror reflection”, but since that only points at “Atsugiri Jason”, that hardly counts).
Amusingly “My kids are Japanese” looks down on both “My husband is Japanese” and “My wife is Japanese”.
