I’m not taking it until December but for the N3 I used this youtube channel and it was amazingly helpful
Just applied for the July 7th JLPT N2 in Japan! Hopefully this actually lights the fire in me so that I can start seriously studying, I think I might be out of my league though a little bit… It would be cool to pass it though …
Strategies are reading more, trying to get to at least level 50 in wanikani before July (I lost my pace after taking a long vacation orz…) and keeping up with the bunpro N2 grammar.
Next time I’m in the big city I’m going to try and buy some focused N2 books. I’m not the biggest user of textbooks or practice books nowadays, so if there’s any recommendations for a wide variety of focus for N2 (like not just reading or just vocab) as that will cost a pretty penny for something that I know I don’t really enjoy that much, I would really appreciate any tips!
I used the Try!N… series for N3 and thought it was a good mix of some texts with vocab, and grammar, but I have not used the N2 one. Maybe if you can find it in a bookstore, you could have a look for yourself.

For N3 I used the same strategy (same publisher as well) and I had no surprises during or after the exam.

Also feel this big time. Even being in Japan, getting over that I don’t wannaaaa has been rough, but as soon as I paid for the test, I’ve been at least doing WaniKani every day, even if I’m taking it slower than I probably should. Grammar, listening, and comprehension are no issue for me provided I know the words. Frickin vocab, I swear.

Man, I wish I could do wanikani every day. I unfortunately had a big job
change (at least locationally) and so far I’ve been three times as busy as
I was before. I am now worried I might’ve made a mistake lol. I just need
to find a good way to want to do wanikani on my phone. That would solve
my problem of not wanting to do it unless it’s on a computer.
If you rely on userscripts, like I do (I don’t think I’d use WaniKani if some of these didn’t exist, tbh), Firefox for mobile allows you to install extensions. ublock, dark reader, tampermonkey, and all that good stuff work great.
Oh no I don’t use userscripts because since I’ve started WK I have done it on my work computer during downtime and my work does not allow me to download or tamper with the settings. As a result I’m quite comfortable with vanilla WK, it’s just the tiny screen of the phone hurts my eyes, I don’t have a personal computer, and now I have little if any downtime at work to do WK so I am kinda panicking thinking about July now ahahaaa

We are 10 levels away, there’s no way.
This only counts in how I have switched to daily cramming the N2 grammar in the reading sentences part. I will switch to input the last week before the test, but I have doubts.
Good luck to everyone else taking the test on 七夕 because I think I will be spending all my wishes on passing this test.. 
oh gosh, the summer test has popped up so fast. i’m not sitting for the exam until December but massive good luck vibes being sent your way

To those taking the test in July, all the best. I hope you have put in the work necessary to do your best, remember to get lots of rest the night before the exam, and eat a good breakfast/brunch or lunch.
I won’t be doing it until December since I felt that I needed a year to take in the information and to boost my listening and speaking (I’m still shite at speaking in Japanese).
I will probably try going for the December session this year. My in person group classes are slowly moving into the N2 area, at least in terms of reading practice so I will have some prep work going. I’m also slowly starting to read N1 and higher books. The only thing that’s painfully missing is listening practice, though we have conversation practice during group classes
