Suggestion: Non-mnemonic explanations should be labeled separately

I don’t know if anyone’s suggested this before. Probably. But anyway:

Feature request:

This is the Meaning Explanation for 補う. Notice how it starts with the mnemonic, and then it has a little comment about usage.

Most words, as far as the ones I’ve checked at least, only have a mnemonic. But there are some words, and this is just one of them, that will have usage notes. (And this word was nice enough to have it spaced apart, but I know in the past there were others where it was all in the same paragraph).

My suggestion is to have these labeled and for the usage note to be first:

So

— Explanation

——- Usage Note

——- Mnemonic

Or better yet, to move or duplicate the Usage Note to its own separate tab.

Reason for this request:

While there are lots of users who read everything, some of us are not interested in WK’s mnemonics.

I know this might sound like sacrilege to some of you, but I for example will only look at the mnemonics for words I’ve failed multiple times in a row.

And since the great majority of words do not have usage notes, it creates a habit for users like me to not even look at the Explanation section. This makes it very easy to skip over the usage notes, even though I actually would like to read those.

If this was labeled separately, then it would make it easier for users like myself to quickly parse whether or not to look at it.

I can definitely get behind this. Might be a small and pretty superfluous feature to most I imagine, but all it really entails is some more intentional organization of content. Can’t imagine that detracting from the experience and only has potential to make it more convenient overall.

I’d also like to imagine if usage notes have their own dedicated section it might inspire more thoughtful additions to it, too. Maybe having a dedicated area to note quirks about a word would cause more notes to come to mind in the process. Or if we find our own it can be organized more intentionally. Any additional context to apply to a word is bound to make it more memorable and easier to apply outside of WK.

Even if not a full notes section- some sort of, as an example, general politeness-level indicator (like a graphic or tab) would be nice- especially if it could link to other variations/equivalents if applicable. Dedicated etymology notes would also be interesting, but that’s mostly just my curiosity speaking. Just spitballing here but fundamentally it comes down to more organization and learning options get my support. Good suggestion.
