@rfindley I’d like to raise my hand for the second path you mentioned - turning wkstats.com over to someone with an equivalent app.
The app is wanilog.com (intro thread). wkstats is honestly the reason it exists - the first real feature I built was a projections page (the part you said you ran out of time to finish), because what I wanted most was a finish date I could plan around. It grew into a full stats app from there.
If it ever came to it, the thing I’d care most about is that nothing just vanishes. Old wkstats links would land on the equivalent page on my side - e.g., JLPT charts to JLPT charts, items to items. And the original site would move to its own address, classic.wkstats.com or something like that, and stay there - I’d keep it running and patched. It reads the same WK APIs as Wanilog, so when WK changes something I’d be fixing both anyway.
Obviously only if you and folks here are comfortable with it. And if LeonKat’s fork (or any other maintenance effort) ends up being the path, great - I’d just rather be a concrete fallback. Thanks for your hard work over the last 10 years! ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝
