I finished it last week and what a read it was!
By far this volume was the best out of the 31! So yeah, I just loved everything about this volume and obviously about the whole manga.
For those who finished it, the sequel (あれから十日後) is available on YouTube : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCxt9q4ZigU
And if you liked Slam Dunk, make sure to read Takehiko Inoue’s “Real”!
Haha I had the same reaction when I finished the volume!
btw I love your notes I’d love to do the same thing for manga, but since I read on a ereader far from my computer and my phone idk how to implement that.
Spoiler Vol. 31
Also the fact that it doesn’t end with a Slam Dunk but with a simple shoot was so unexpected but so meaningful! For me it represented all the time he spent practicing, specifically that one page that says シュートの練習は楽しかった, so I obviously didn’t shed any tears!
Slam dunk is the only thing I’ve done notes like this for, I just used my phone/laptop open onto a Google notes file while reading physically so I could stop and type in quickly, but yeah it got in the way of reading occasionally
Yeah I liked the ending and how it really showed his growth into someone who does whatever’s best for the team! Better than him doing a slam dunk like he could do at the start anyway
Also it doesn’t matter to me, but maybe worth putting anything about the ending/spoiler worthy under a spoiler or drop-down, because there’s a few people currently who might read this thread who are still early in the manga and don’t know the ending!
I’d watched the anime first earlier this year, so maybe will take a break from Slam Dunk for now. But give it a few years and I’ll come back and read it again for sure! Got too many other things to read first
