Once I came up with this this word became suddenly very easy to remember. Those things are vicious.

気付く → In The Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time, when you focus on something, be it an enemy or an object, you’re “attaching” your fairy (Navi) to the said object. You could say you’re attaching energy to it and say you ‘noticed’ it
Well i don’t usually do mnemonics. And when i do they aren’t funny.(my notes usually translations if i didn’t understand what it mean). I didn’t know what yurt or tricep means

Just got to the 空 (sky) kanji and WK’s mnemonic for recognizing it is about giving the Roof Legs by doing Construction – which is about the best reference to Homestuck and all the houses being built into Skaia like three times the height of the planets’ diameters.
C’mon, tell me I’m not the only one. 
oh, another long-time fave is the 出 (exit) kanji – my original mnemonic for it was “lumierre the candlestick is frantically trying to prevent you from leaving so that the beast doesn’t stay cursed forever”, which obviously I don’t need anymore a few levels later, but even now when i occasionally need to remember the on’yomi reading (しゅつ) I think about that scene where Gaston shoots the Beast on the rooftop.
台 - I visualised a washing machine (with a laundry basket on top), and if you don’t use it correctly, your clothes will dye (だい) and come out all pink or something.

I imagined the same thing 
I don’t remember any funny ones that I came up with, but I tried creating mnemonics in every language I know (Spanish, English, Catalan and Portuguese) or even mixing them to get closer to the japanese pronunciation. I am not sure anymore those were a good idea…
I just came up with this one (works if you’re Italian):
重 = heavy
è talmente pesante che lo devi mettere GIÙ (じゅう)!
Could also be imagining a québécois saying “T’as tu(てつ) écouté le dernier album de Iron Maiden ?”
I think of The Force Awakens and think to myself “That planet (Jakku) is weak…”, but yours is nice too. 
and yours might be closer to the pronunciation.

I don’t think this is really funny but I found it very useful! I have been struggling with 仲良し and 仲良く since learning them. One way to remember 仲良し as good friend vs 仲良く as good term is that SHE is a good friend!
