speaking for myself here: when I try to develop or maintain a habit, I just force my self to do a single quantum of it every day (e.g. do 1 review, do 1 push up or cleanup 1 single item in the kitchen). Most of the time I end up doing much more, but that single thing that gets me started everyday is the most important one, which much be maintained at all cost. All the other repetitions are just bonus.
Even when I only do a single pushup on a given day, I still feel good about myself, knowing that this pushup took the most mental effort to do and also knowing that my habit is save.

Homie I didn’t review for like 5 days straight, and I was staring at a pile of 300 some odd reviews. You gave me the strength to push through.
I did amazingly well yesterday, 100 reviews in 14m with 89% accuracy, and it would have been a full 90% if it were for a typo on the last question.

Guru below 400 for the first time! Apprentice nearly below 400 as well! Reviews in the next month has gone down by about 150 in the last month! Looks like you have some enlightened that are building up for big burns this month! So close to that giant boulder finally tipping over and rolling down the hill, squashing all the reviews in its wake! Pace is gonna start getting crazy fast from here on!

My review speed took a bit hit in early December, but I’ve been doing really well since Tuesday, so it has gone back up. I was surprised to see that the recent average is now near an all time high, since it certainly hasn’t felt like that. Note that this is a heavily smoothed rolling average, so the actual fall was more dramatic than it looks here.
Accuracy also tumbled and then came back up, but the fall was much longer and deeper. For a while, I was hitting the low 70s every time, but this week, I’ve been on a lucky streak with 80+ four days in a row, so it has gone back up for now.
