I think that’s just because everything is high level now, so they don’t come up for review much. For several months now, a large fraction of my reviews have been burns.

Psst. Even with taking a buncha days off for the holidays, you still managed to burn over 500 last month.
Wow, you’re right! Looks like I was at 3909 at the end of October, so I burned 600+2-9 = 593 last month, almost 20 per day on average.
Honestly what you were doing last month was working really well. You weren’t able to review every day, but you did a few really big reviews and knocked a lot of it out of the park. If you just do a couple big reviews per month, you’ll push ahead so fast!

If it helps, and I hope it does, I’ve noticed when you do bigger review sessions your accuracy score doesn’t really decrease, and sometimes it increases. 76% of 30 might seem like a high miss rate, but 76% of 200 is still over 150 correct! Having a bad day just means those leeches managed to pile up back-to-back, which happens. The less reviews you have left, the more of them will be leeches… until they aren’t. The system will work itself out. Just keep plugging away!

Lately, my reviews have been taking longer than the blistering pace I was managing a few months ago. I think it might be due to burning all the easy items, but in any case, 100 is more of a burden than it used to be, so I decided that starting tomorrow, I’ll only target 75 reviews per day instead of 100.

I was worried when we didn’t see you!
Thank you for doing this. Seeing your thread everyday helps me with my own struggle.
After 2 months of WK I now start to lose motivation. Seeing this thread reminds me again, that the journey not about speed, but about consistency. As long as I do at least some reviews everyday, I will progress.
To be honest, I’ve been having trouble maintaining the motivation to do WK as well lately.
