I plan on reading these pages over the next couple days. Not sure if there will be an offshoot club for this series but I wanted to keep reading it either way. I think I’ll read a selection from this book every other week from this point on

Read the entirety of 頭ならびに腹 by 横光 利一
(it was rather short)
Weird but amusing little story about a delayed train, it was almost like reading a cartoon skit.

安達としまむら 第三巻 - 27 pages (61% → 72%)
Gosh, I love tracking reading by the percentage read as well as pages read - somehow it seems like I’ve made more progress when I look at the percentages 
Anyway, if things go to plan I’ll be done with this volume in a few days time, and then I’ll likely start on the fourth book while I wait for my order of light novels to arrive!
I also played ペーパーマリオ オリガミキング for a couple hours today, which was the first time I’ve tried playing a video game in Japanese. I played the game countless times as a kid, and I still think it’s a beautiful game even to this day. It wasn’t too difficult, aside from the fact that every character seemed to have their own speech pattern which threw me off a little bit at the beginning. I’m excited to keep progressing with that as well

Somehow discovered there was a game speedrun festival for a good cause recently and watched the resident evil and part of the poe2 speedruns. That was very fun, however, not very productive towards reading, haha.

Chapter five of からかい上手の高木さん. I definitely feel silly for putting off reading for so long, even if I’m not 100%ing this, it’s definitely better than just grinding SRS faster.
I’m late, I joined the Summer Challenge 7 months ago but I fell off. I hope to get back into it

It’s origami king, yes? I loveee the paper Mario series! But haven’t played that one yet. Super paper Mario is my favorite, also partly for childhood memory reasons

(Forgot to update the page I’d left off on in 境メロ yesterday. It was actually pg 76. That’s fixed now.)
Kai’s father is a rockstar, and they live in a house that Kyousuke describes as fortress-like, and in the basement is his father’s soundproofed studio. Kai grew up playing in there so presumably for that reason he’s not used to being considerate toward others re: blasting music at nighttime, but that’s hardly an excuse. PTO is a thing, and a thin-walled apartment is very obviously not the place.
Kyousuke finds Kai too endearing to stay mad at him for long, and Yui—their friend who’s also the 看板娘 of the Chinese restaurant where they get their かに玉 —seems to be much the same, but I’ve got mixed feelings about him. He and his infectious cheerfulness might make it easy to forget why/that you dislike him, but he’s still kind of an ass.
How the hell is 東海林 read しょうじ, I wanna cry
I wanna try making that 天津丼 sometime, though with green onions instead of peas.
