Manga, manga and more manga! A couple of chapter from ひとりぼっちの○○生活 to finish the volume, a couple of (short) chapters from 事情を知らない転校生がグイグイくる and a few pages from ふらいんぐうぃっち 8. I want to read more, but I’m too tired!
Just for fun I made an effort today to look up all my unknown words in Wanikani (in addition to my usual dictionaries). I found words from around leve 35, level 45 and level 50. That’s great motivation to keep climbing on Wanikani!

Worked on the book club and then read SBR until I fell asleep. I felt like the flashback at the beginning of the chapter was fun bs to introduce a character skill. Hopefully this skill comes up again instead of being forgotten lol. Also, this new arc, Sugar Mountain, looks interesting

- More Maomao. I know I have lot of scaffolding on this particular book, but it is interesting how much less work it is when you don’t have to spend the time deciphering the text because you already know the plot (and in this case even the wordage) etc so what you’re actually kinda doing is… I don’t know, practice? Hmm. Much to think about. Also it’s nice to just be able to enjoy a book.

A nice chunk of the light novel read, and also started a new manga series, No.6.
I saw this one being talked about on Reddit and it interested me a little, plus I wanted a digital manga I could read at night that wasn’t part of a bookclub so I gave it a go! Went in pretty much blind but really enjoyed the initial set up. It’s rated as L29 on Natively but that feels a bit high to me. It’s far easier than Phantom Busters, and I can see myself working through it fairly quickly.

Better. Not fully recovered so have been in a slight spaced-out daze most of the day, coupled with various other things. Regardless, better.
I came to the disastrous realisation earlier that I only actually have a week left to the readathon… eek… I need to fit in 2 weeks’ worth of 風立ちぬ in that time to finish it off, plus I was wanting to get through week 1 of 六人の噓つきな大学生 before the 20th, plus I have 4 more volumes of ホリミヤ I wanted to get through, plus I wanted to finish off a book during or before the Readathon, plus I wanted to finish off my textbook… eeeeeeeeek. Not to mention having various things going on outside of everything else like final goodbyes to some teachers, students, meeting up with friends who are leaving for the last time etc… I’m not used to having so many study related things I have to do.
The problem is that すべてがFになる is so bloody long. I didn’t even realise it’s like 500 pages, even though the book is a bit of a chunky boy. I’m enjoying it and getting through it consistently though, so I don’t want to drop it for anything else, but I also don’t want to leave it hanging for like 2 weeks while I’m away.
The solution is simple - read as much as I possibly can between now and next week. If I really, really, really want to and I’m really into it, I reckon I could approach 200 pages for すべてがFになる to finish it off during the readathon - assuming I devote like 8-10 hours to it which isn’t completely out of the realm of possibility. However, if I just do about 40 per day on average for it before then (which isn’t too much higher than my average at the moment anyway), then that would get me to about the 360 page mark, which is definitely in finisheable range. I could then do like 130-odd pages of that plus one or two other things, namely the book club reading. I probably can’t do 40 pages of すべてがFになる a day on top of other bookclub stuff before then, though. Or maybe I can get through 風立ちぬ on the weekend. I don’t know. Less time thinking about it, more time reading I think. 挑戦します!
(Also I am actually glad about the challenge and I’ll use it to motivate me to read more rather than burn me out so don’t worry!)

A little Aokana today, to the end of the second (of 5) chapters in the common route. I really like it, but it’s a looong VN! Then a few pages of ふらいんぐうぃっち 8 just because I like it so much. Having fun while reading!

I played a bit Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, although it was mostly just running around and enjoying the scenery.
Finally I finished reading the first volume of the Konosuba book series. It got a bit more interesting near the end but still I have no plans reading more of it.

Finished Chapter 40 of デスノート.
Today, I’ve decided to set up this thing called Mokuro, which converts manga png files to html files with selectable text. I spent like three hours setting this up, and I had to do some troubleshooting because I couldn’t get it to work at first, but now it’s working like a charm and I can already tell this is going to be a gamechanger
There’s no need to type words manually in the dictionary, no need to remove furigana-leftover junk when scanning with OCR… hopefully with this reading will get much faster
