A few pages of Death Note.
Today I’ve decided that it’s finally time to set up some kind of OCR, so that I don’t have to tediously type each sentence I don’t understand manually, and I don’t remember when I was this frustrated over doing something on a computer. I spent like 3 hours setting this up and nothing worked, but finally, I have something that I’m kind of happy with.
Sucks that doing a thing that should be really simple took me this much time that I could spend on reading today, but it is what it is. Hoping to read more tomorrow.
Edit: Nevermind, decided to stay up until 12:30 AM and read more. Chapter 28 finished. The OCR definitely helps a lot with looking up stuff faster so I’d say it was worth the hassle

- Trial continues. Cowboy… is annoying as usual, but thankfully it’s more like [plot] [plot] [mystery] [incomprehensible cowboy saying] [plot] at this point and I just ignore the random Western stuff. The goddamn video came back but hopefully that’s the last of it since it feels like we’re nearing the end of the trial segment.
- Nearly finished the second story in 少女漫画じゃない but had to tap out before I could finish it

So, it’s technically 2 AM so it’s the next day, but I rlly wanted to read something, and I wanted to read Happiness for a while now, and when I say the difference in reading is immaculate than prior, its an understatement for real. I was able to skim through pages much easier than when I previously tried to read. I’m so happy.

The first few days of last week went to plan and I was starting to catch up on reading. Then I came diving and everything pretty much went out the window. Diving in the day, then socializing at night. On the plus side this mostly involved speaking Japanese…
I am now more behind than before. But I have a few travelling days this week so a vague chance of catching up.

Solid. Was out for most of the day so just a bit in the morning and a bit in the evening. Tired.
For the next 2 days I’m going to prioritise reading and listening around other stuff. In my main 3 books at the moment (お探し物、 ノルウェイの森、 この嘘, I have a cumulative total of about 200-250 pages left. I reckon I can finish all 3 of them off over Sunday and Monday, or at least come close. Challenge time! レッツゴー

Reading manga is also fun. I wonder how it’d be if I were to pick up Yuru Camp 
again from where I left off from the book club. Probably requires more lookups from the lack of furigana.
