Well I already played the Lunar games in english a long time ago. Unfortunately I don’t have time to replay old games.
Looked it up and found a remastered collection on Steam.
Not exactly cheap… And I don’t know when I’m going to play it as all my gaming time (and a lot of my reading time) has been devoted to Final Fantasy XIV recently…
But I bought it nevertheless, because I’m such a clumsy cat

Definitely didn’t read anything on Thursday, while I have read like a page of Apothecary Diaries 2 on both Wednesday and Friday (again, so little that I realistically have to reread from the start of the chapter 
). Today, I have read chapter 196 of One Piece
I did play some videogames throughout the week. Still playing through Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined though I’m still not quite hooked after 7-ish hours, and I have also started the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo on Switch 2. That’s a game I’ve really enjoyed on PlayStation two years ago and playing through the demo now, I feel all the excitement again! The Switch 2 port is also not too bad, feels like a decent way to play the game 
I feel like I’ll need to make a decision soon if I really want to continue DQ7 or cut my losses
Gonna do my readathon tomorrow and I already have some ideas on what I could tackle but we’ll see. The Alabasta arc in One Piece is already entering its finale (about 20 chapters left), I also still want to finish 押し、燃ゆ and there’s Nausicaä volumes 2–7 waiting for me..! A good selection to choose from

I read Japanese subtitles on TV. And looked at a manga.

100 pages!! Wow!!
I haven’t played it before so it’s new to me haha. I just meant in general I hear games like DQ, FF, Ni no Kuni, etc. come up in discussions so I’m a little surprised Lunar hadn’t come up at all when I’ve researched games to play in Japanese.
Oh I forgot about the remaster!! I hope you enjoy it whenever you get to it (there are cats)! I’ve been meaning to ask, trunklayerさん — how difficult do you find FFXIV japanese-wise? I’ve dabbled in the free trial before but since it’s coming to the switch I was thinking about getting back into it.

I appreciate the well-wishes. Unfortunately, it did not, in fact, end up being nothing… –__– Well, hopefully it won’t last too much longer. My throat and nose are already doing better today (the 9th), although I’ve still got basically an everything-ache
Just a couple pokéfics on AO3. Read the haiku yesterday and about half the reguri one, which I finished today. I even started one of my own, which has been going much better than expected, considering the pain. Red still runs away up Mt Silver as per usual, but Green runs away in his own way too by changing his name to Hyacinth and starting over as someone who can’t just disappoint everyone the way Green Oak always seems to. Maybe I shouldn’t be writing fic when the only game I’ve played is PokéGO, but.

A couple of token reading days, but overall the last week has been good - I have most manga caught up to only one week behind! I’ve had plenty of reading time in the evening. My friend is joining me on the trip from today so suspect I’ll read less, but we’ll see.

Had an incredibly busy day today, starting with buying veggie starts at a gardening event, then hosting a book club, then planting a bunch of veggie starts for 3 hours before making dinner. I wasn’t even sure I’d be able to manage reading, but I knocked out this week’s chapter of ケサラン for ABBC! I kept falling asleep so it took me way longer than it should have, but I made it!!!
Tomorrow should return to a less busy schedule. I’ve got studying to catch up on!
Sorry, this is not the weekend for me! I’m hoping for a much more chill weekend next week so maybe then??

Well, at my current level, I’d say not too difficult… Maybe, not the best choice for one’s very first game in Japanese…
The main problem is the complete absense of furigana (except for special cases)…
However, the dialogues are separated into relatively short boxes, which helps a lot. It’s much better to deal with individual bricks of text than with the whole wall of text!
In English or in Japanese?
The free trial version has A LOT of content. Honestly, it feels impossible that such a game could exist in the modern market! So, if the Switch version has free trial – I’d recommend trying it. You won’t lose anything and gain a lot of content for free!
I’ve had the pleasure of driving in Scandinavia (albeit only in Euro Truck Simulator 2) and can say that the views are absolutely meowgnificent!
