I obviously have done even worse than the previous week, with my first missed days in nearly a year! I think I’m slightly behind in most manga (except とんがり帽子のアトリエ) and very behind now on books and the dictionary. Until yesterday - spot when the holiday started! I’ve caught up on 老女的少女ひなたちゃん, which is just as well as I’m running the club. Today should be a reasonable reading day as I don’t have much to do before getting on a dive boat tomorrow.

Spring challenge 
… well, with a few missed days here and there, but I am so happy I kept at it. Kudos to everyone who gave it a shot, it’s no mean feat.
This challenge started with learning how to read top to bottom and right to left, essential for reading manga, it turns out! I closed it by going back to the Tadoku lvl 5 book I tackled the first week. Stupendous! I am able to read full sentences and breezed through the first 4 pages with only a couple of Jisho lookups. 
Looking back at the last 3 months, my biggest joys were probably discovering the world of Dr Slump, getting a glimpse of Japanese modern literature and reading about people’s experience on this thread. The words of the day that various people have posted have been a daily favourite. Thank you.

Finally made it home after a very, very long journey!
5 more chapters of かわずや today, and also a chapter of Teasing Master Takagi-san.

Half way through the year already!
My reading pace did slow a little this month, which I expected with starting a new job, and travelling for a week to meet my new team, but I’m happy with myself for still managing to stay on top of reading every day even with those hurdles!

So it turns out that when I said on April 3rd that I was only going to update once every few days, I really meant I’d only update one time when the challenge was over.
I started with NHK for a few weeks then moved on to the Yotsuba book club, which was a much better decision. Finished volume 1 this past Saturday.
Total of 50 days where I read (like really read, I didn’t count reading youtube titles, or following listening scripts for 5 mins as reading.)
and a total of 40 hours 35 mins of reading.
