I chose to read the pre-vetted pick today, 猫の事務所 (ある小さな官衙に関する幻想), mainly because it was about cats. This was a pretty fun one, it was mostly straight forward to read, nothing much happens… but, that’s because cats are lazy.
It reminded me of The Cat Returns and the cat bureau 
I had a quick glimpse at the mystery pick too, 氷は金屬である, but it was another dense word salad so I decided not to read anymore.

Good on you for giving the Aozora Advent a go! I’m not quite ready for it yet, but maybe next year if @pocketcat runs it again.

Traveled to Oslo this morning, read a bit, walked around all day (18k steps), went to Outland (it was packed!), met up with friend (long time, no see), had ramen together. 良い一日でした。My feet are very done for today.
Ready for JLPT tomorrow

Decided to start this book again from the beginning. It’s been a while since I last picked it up and I’ve forgotten most of it. Will read it now without breaks, making notes for bookclub as I go.

Hi, I made Manabi Reader - I just want to understand - was the app slow at loading/using the NHK Easy articles? I have performance improvements coming in the next update but want to make sure I address what you ran into. (Not sure you meant the app was slow, or you took your time

Had a look over the mystery pick for today but it looked like another essay so I skipped that one and read the pre-vetted story instead: メリイ・クリスマス.
This one was relatively long, so it took me awhile to get through. I also got a little confused at points about what was actually going on.

Thank you! c: がんばった！もう疲れたわ。Had a good night sleep, but woke up at 5 am. Currently at airport waiting for my flight, it’s going to be past 23 when I get home. I’m glad I’m taking the day off tomorrow
