Another challenge over already… 2025 is going by really fast for me.
During this challenge I was meant to change my contract at work so I could work a bit less, but the universe had other ideas, so instead I changed it to work more since both of my projects got busier instead of less busy… 
But despite that - I managed to do a lot of reading!
6 volumes finished this month, and I also got back to reading some prose as well as manga. I’m hoping to keep up this momentum and have a strong finish to the year!
As always, I’ll be carrying on with the challenge for the bonus month - but huge congrats to everyone who made it to the end of this official challenge. I wouldn’t be able to keep myself motivated without inspiration from all of you.
Snake Update
Its hard to show it in a photo now, but he’s very long! I’ll try to measure him for the final update in December!
I’m hoping to do another similar year-long reading inspired craft project next year, but I haven’t decided what it should be yet - please let me know if you have any fun suggestions!

I’ve managed to finish a book a week this challenge 
Technically no books during the second week of October, but finished 2 books the following week, so that’s close enough. Skipped just one day. Completed a total of 13 books this season!

surprise read of a bit of relife (the heart wants what it wants ig) and finished starling house! good book, definitely gonna be checking out more from that author. not sure the ending was quite what i wanted but i don’t think it was bad.
last day too, good luck to the other jlpt folks and those keeping up in the off month! not sure i’ll come back for january (i struggled to hit my goals this time and think a longer period to reset might help) but we’ll see. congrats to everyone for making it to the end!

It think I won’t take tests anymore. I’m tired, and at this point I won’t learn something new, it is better to just repeat everything I know from time to time.
So I’ll try to return to reading books next week for fun if I have time (I have a lot of plans next week, so not sure I’ll manage).

Reiji does show up! And his suit is described as wine-red. Hmm, I think it’s a bit too pink for that lol. But he takes over for Auchi for the last two days of the trial, so it is still “defended by the elder Mitsurugi, prosecuted by the younger 15 years later”
It finally gets revealed that the man whom Yuuko had been calling Kitamita-hakase isn’t Kitamita Kousuke! The body inside the cold storage pod had been frozen so thoroughly that it was only assumed that it belonged to Unno Kuroudo; in actuality, it was Kitamita Kousuke. After the first day of trial, Ryuu had Yahari make a sketch of Unno and showed it to Yuuko, who confirmed that that was hakase. She then remembered that hakase had been using his rival’s name as an alias and that his real name was Aoyagi Kyousuke. Soon after that, Ryuu got a call from the place he’d sent the case file to in order to try and unredact it; they can’t unredact everything, but they did get some, and they confirmed that the name Aoyagi Kyousuke does show up in it, so now Ryuu fully believes Yuuko came from 2001. He’d still had his doubts.
She still can’t remember any more about her attorney beyond that he wore glasses and was gentlemanly, though. I can’t wait for that reveal.
This is my 4th day of reading 「修学旅行で仲良くないグループに入りました」 since I didn’t touch it on the weekend. For a slow Japanese reader, I am actually far, pg 78 of 248, 32% and I read almost 2 hours today in short spurts. I think the writing is accessible for B1/B2 learners and it’s a sweet read if you like BL.

Went and checked my stats for this challenge, from October 1st to November 30th I read:
5 novels
5 LNs
1 Non-fiction book
(total 11 novel-equivalent books)
14 manga
3496 pgs. novel equivalent (novel+LN+non-fiction)
3259 pgs. manga
And 126k characters of a VN
October had a ton of manga, quite a lot of novels. November had almost exclusively LNs, I read very little else.
Both months were good for reading considering other stuff going on
