I like loose routines - without them I tend not to get much done, but I don’t get upset if a miss a day here or there.
That’s totally fair, and my approach as well! It feels really nice to go on wk and see I have a nice streak going tho, that’s for sure! giving me a sense of accomplishment.
And to be fair? going into reading shangri-la frontier, I was very satisfied with my reading-ability, I can understand most sentences with like 60/40 ratio and I expected it to be way harder!

I played 英雄伝説 碧の軌跡 starting the quest where you show the little boy around town. At my pace I will be up to date with the Legend of Heroes series in three years.

Story complete!
A new character, art critic 廉州先生 turns up, my first attempt at reading the name was “Master Renshuu” as in, the Japanese learning site different kanji, but still now I feel I have forever ruined the scene of a gentleman’s meeting over a piece of artwork by imagining Master Renshuu as Kao-chan (Renshuu mascot) in a fancy suit pondering over the art.
Googling tells me it should be Master Liánzhōu.
Will have a look into what I want to read next!

Slight improvement on last week, still not quite as good as I’d have liked!
Yesterday is possibly a slight cheat but not really - I woke up mid flight before we crossed the international date line so counted that bit of reading through until landing. Anything from now on counts as 3rd.
I am significantly behind on most clubs (2 weeks and growing for some) so need to catch up in next week or so.

I did a terrible job reading last month…
So I’ll be focusing less on studying for JLPT, and more on having fun interacting with the language. It doesn’t matter if I don’t pass, I have many years left to pass!
Now it’s time to grow back into the reading every day habit

October Monthly Update
My reading’s slowed down a bit in terms of pages per day, but I’m not too displeased about it. I’ve been focusing a lot more on grammar and I’m already seeing results from that in an increased number of pages per hour. I was traveling a bit near the end of the month which lead to my one missed day, but 30/31 is still pretty good. I’ve also been gaming a bit but I think I could be spending a lot more time on Persona 3. Hopefully that will show in the numbers in November.

I was sick and just read a bit manga magazines.
I clicked since I was curious because I know them for doing the theme for the Saezuru movie, but I ended up researching them more. It seems like they broke into the anime music industry via BL (kudos) but originally formed in Shimane! For reference, Higedanism was also formed in Shimane. This is super wild because Shimane doesn’t have computers (digimon).
