Hi I get blocked here that the primary meaning was changed, so I am no longer allowed to use the other meaning even though according to jisho.org and jlearn.net it is correct?

Yes, and I can’t tell you how much I hate this method of changing the accepted meaning.
It’s not that it’s super-hard to learn the new one, that’s not my issue. (Although, it would be nicer if they just told me the new answer instead of making me look it up mid-review-session).
The problem is, there’s no explanation why. What’s wrong with the old way? If it’s wrong, then tell me the difference between when I should be saying this, and when I should say something else (and ideally, what the other thing I should say instead is.) If I say 次々 when I mean ‘one by one’, are people going to look at me funny or think I meant something else? Huge missed learning opportunity.
They post an ‘updates’ notice when they change things, but that usually describes briefly WHAT the change is, not WHY. It would be more work, but ideally I’d want a permanent errata page that explained the why, and for that page to be referenced in the warning popup.
At the very least, the errata page would function as a record of judgment calls and decisions that were made and why, so we don’t keep having the same questions and arguments again all the time. (There may be such a thing internally, but I don’t see how it could be anything but helpful for it to be published)
Sorry @mamimumason , I know it’s already a big list just describing WHAT changed, and explaining WHY everything would be a lot of work. I do think it would be super-helpful though.

Yep it sucks.
If they are going to do this, I also feel they need to provide a way to just reset the item so you can relearn it if you want.

Looking up how it got changed. I do agree with the change, but at the same time… These kinds of content updates and how they’re handled has been needlessly frustrating. It really drove home the feeling that I was learning WaniKani more than actual Japanese at times for me.
Alongside the radicals and dumb names they give those.

This is incredibly frustrating when you miss a burn review because the meaning has been changed since you studied it and they won’t accept the old meaning and won’t tell you what the new meaning is. I’ve already missed several burns because of that.
