Yeah, I remember that one all too well 
It’s very impurrtant to go at your own pace! 
It used to take me forever too; now it happens somewhat faster. I read the Japanese text, then I read the translation, compare the two. If the translations end up similar – great; if not (or if I didn’t manage to understand the Japanese version at all) – well, I’m just a small clumsy cat! 
On a few occasions though, I did manage to think up a somewhat better translation, like
I’m very sorry to hear that; I really hope things would start improving for you soon!
Anyway, best of luck with your studies; I’m looking furward to when you reach level 60 too!
