Made a simple website to practice Kanji Writing

I started practicing Kanji Writing because I felt that whenever I tried to use the vocab I learned here I always went for the Hiragana safe option. With that in mind I installed Ringotan on IOS, that’s basically a How to Write Kanji SRS. Even so, I wanted to have a way to practice full words instead of the individual kanjis, so I made this simple website that just gets you a random vocab word from WaniKani. There are probably more apps like this but since it’s already made, I figured I would share it. (API doesn’t need perms)

This is a great idea, thanks for making it !
I’ll definitely come back to it and use it for continual writing practice. Much appreciated !

You should consider displaying stroke order diagrams, for instance from kanjivg. It’s hard to guess the stroke order as a complete beginner and on top of that some kanji look pretty different in standard handwritten form compared to computer fonts.

Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I just made an update to include exactly what you said

Well done. As a last word of advice I’d recommend not using the wanikani branding on the page. I don’t know if Tofugu cares to protects its IP but it’s generally a bad idea.

Very cool! I’ve been neglecting writing for other areas of study, but I’d really love to be able to do it. Bookmarking this for later, it’d be fun to drill in the future!
