There’s a few more more like this and I always mix them up!
Any tips on how to learn these?

These are transitive and intransitive pairs, and there are some patterns to help recognize which is which:
The first two pairs are える/ある pairs. The える verb is usually transitive, and the ある verb is usually intransitive.
For the third pair, verbs that end in す are transitive almost 100% of the time. (I can’t think of an intransitive verb that ends in す)
