It’s all modes ![]()
A progress bar would be great! Sometimes it takes over a minute, so that’s why I’ve ended up clicking twice

It was fun. I only got to lvl two though… ![]()
I guess I need more practice. Is there a way to slow it down for those who are just beginning?
I want to play more though, so good job!
Wow interesting, hiragana and katakana should start pretty much instantly because they don’t have to download anything extra. I’ll have to look into that.
Thank you! I definitely think different speed options is a good idea to make it useful for a wider range of people.
I think I figured out the problem. i thought I had disabled a video speed controller extension on the website, but apparently it was still enabled. I excluded the kanjiroids domain and now things work much faster. ![]()
Wow interesting, I’m glad it’s working now!
I just added in a simple percent loading text, which isn’t as pretty as a progress bar, but it’s way better than nothing!
Updates 2021-09-01:
You’re the best ![]()
Wow i just found this and its really testing my ability with the Japanese hiragana keyboard on my phone! Excellent practice, i already feel faster!
Did you slow down the default too?
I didn’t finish as I have to get ready for work, but pleasant was just that…if even slow. I tried default and (while I still had 3 lives left) I got to level 7.
So, either I have gotten better (I can hope), or maybe it’s a little slower too?
But ya, when I get to some harder, higher levels (or for those just starting off), the pleasant more will be really good!
Thanks!!!
Default (1x) is the same speed as before the update. There’s a bit of randomness involved, but I’d guess that the bigger factor is your own skill!
Is there any way to make the system prefer not to double up on words in the same column? I find maybe 1/5-1/4 of the time, I die because I can’t make out the kanji overlaid on top of each other.
Indeed, this issue has caused me a surprising amount of trouble. It’s way better than it used to be, but it can definitely use improvement. Ideally it would be a perfect system that never overlaps words, and I’m sure it’s possible to achieve that ![]()
It’s unsettling seeing HTTPS not implemented…
As for feature request
Did you change to Halloween colors? ![]()
I made it so it changes holiday themes automatically! ![]()
That’s delightful!! Idk how I never noticed! I’ll have to play more around holidays to see all the themes ![]()
@Darcinon I’m sorry to bother you, but it looks like the game won’t let players select a level and start. I know it’s an old project, but could you please take a look?
I’ve been recommending it to fellow learners for years ![]()
Interesting, the first time I entered my API key it didn’t do anything, but the second time it worked. My guess is a bug when the API key hasn’t been entered before because now when I refresh the page and it auto-fills the API key everything works on the first try. Does that match what you’re seeing?
I thought WK disabled the API?
On my screen (tried on both chrome and firefox), on the mode selection, it’s not possible to actually pick a mode. Nothing happens. idk if it’s related to site certificate or something. both browsers warned me it was out of date and I don’t see how to enter any API anymore
