July 31 2020 Content Updates

Hi everyone! In addition to our usual content updates, we also have a small update we want to announce about how we word things here in WaniKani. We’ve been referring to our hidden lists of acceptable answers as the “whitelist” and blocked answers as the “blacklist.” We’ve decided to avoid these from now on, since we don’t want to reinforce the bias that white is good and black is bad. From now on, we’ll be using “allow list” and “block list” instead. :fist:t6::fist:t5::fist:t4::fist:t3::fist:t2:

Good call. This also has the not-too-hidden benefit of explaining to people unfamiliar with the terms what each list does.
