I’m actually not very satisfied by this sentence. I might change it.
Essentially when two stones are close enough they create a connection and then they are embedded into a device that enables it, you can use them to send messages.

I’m not sure if this should be directed to @NeoArcturus or @drdru but I think Ascend should rather be Ascent in the title? So it is the noun rather than the verb 
sorry for being pedantic! But I’ve seen it a few times now, hope you don’t mind me mentioning it

Akotis is not a person but a place name but now I can see that it’s not so clear from the context.

Thanks! I actually didn’t mean it in terms of a person that he is selling the stones to, I thought that this was the name of the Stones, like the Rune Stones from Akotis. I guess he is selling them in Akotis, though?

My gut feeling that would clearly never be wrong (
) tells me に is correct. で feels a bit off here with the 行く
Unrelated, but wouldn’t it be 来る instead of 行く (assuming they are also in アコティス)?

It’s に here because the verb is 行く. Akotisに行っている. Then this sentence is expanded to claridy: Runestoneを売りに行っている。
If you wanted to use で, the final verb would have to be 売る: AkotisでRunestoneを売っている. (But then it sounds stationary, like he‘s always there)

@GrumpyPanda : they’re not in アコティス (it is a different place). I think 行く is appropriate.

Yu-Gi-Oh is probably one of the first anime I ever watched! I like the game itself a lot, but unfortunately, I don’t have enough cards (and especially strong cards) to be a good player, but I still enjoy playing against my brother, since I don’t play online (that would distract me way too much from my Japanese studies lol)
